A friend of mine is my former school-mate. Her name is Ann. She lives in a nice cottage. It’s a stone house. In front of it there is a green lawn and a flower bed with roses. In the yard they have a garage. The house is not very large. At first you enter the hall. It is square and rather big. There are built-in cupboards near the door. On the wall there is a big mirror. From the hall you can get into any room. Their sitting-room is quite big. There is very little furniture in it. That’s why it looks wide. There is a thick carpet on the floor. The bedroom of Ann’s parents is furnished with a bedroom suite. It consists of a double bed, two bedside tables and a wardrobe.

Мой друг — это моя бывшая одноклассница. Ее зовут Анна. Она живет в симпатичном коттедже. Это каменный дом. Перед ним есть зеленый газон и клумбы с множеством роз. В дворе в них гараж. Дом не очень большой. Сначала вы входите в переднюю. Она квадратная и довольно большая. Возле двери есть встроены шкафы. На стене большое зеркало. С передней можно попасть в любую комнату. Их гостиная довольно большая. В ней немного мебели. Поэтому она выглядит просторной. На полу толстый ковер. В спальные Анниных родителей стоит спальный гарнитур. Он состоит из двуспальной кровати, двух прикроватных тумбочек и шкафа для одежды.

There is a dressing table with a stool near the window. Ann and her sister have their own room. They like to study there and have a rest. The kitchen is not very large but it is very comfortable. They also have a bathroom and a lavatory. I like to go to Ann’s place. We often sit in her room, listen to the music and talk.
